Jesse W. Holloman was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of the toddler, who hasn't been identified.
The Batesville Daily Guard reports that an affidavit filed Tuesday in Independence County Circuit Court says the girl's mother found her body in the refrigerator.
No cause of death has been released, but the affidavit says Holloman told police he gave the child a half-bottle of Amoxicillin.

When the deputy arrived at the house off Mars Hill Road on Tuesday, two brothers said their other brother, who the deputy came to arrest, wasn't there.
They allowed the deputy inside and offered him a drink, but he asked to search the house and found the suspect - Kennington Blaise Teat, 23 - hiding in a refrigerator, according to a sheriff's office report.
